Controller Jøtul AS, is a Norwegian legal entity with company registration number 989519247, hereinafter referred to as "Jøtul"/ “we", owns scan-stoves.co.uk and will as controller process your personal data as further described below.

Personal Data collected for leads are used in the following ways:

  • To contact you for a offer or to book a time for a quote.
  • Personal Data collected for Leads are stored for up to 12 months.

Personal Data collected for guarantee are used in the following ways:

The purpose of the registration is to provide you as a consumer, extended warranty. For us, the intention is to improve our products and services. Therefore, we also ask you to agree to participate in our customer survey. The information about you as a consumer is based solely on data entered in the form by you.

Personal Data collected for guarantee are stored for up to 28 years.

2.3 Personal Data collected for troubleshooting or support

We may process your Personal Data and usage logs when you submit a request for troubleshooting or support for your use of scan-stoves.co.uk. Such Personal Data and usage logs are not used for any other purposes than to provide you with the requested support or troubleshooting.

We may utilise external data processors to assist us in processing your Personal Data for cloud solutions and technical support. Jøtul AS remains responsible for such use of data processors, and shall only use data processors who satisfy our requirements for secure processing of Personal Data and are subjected to contractual safeguards pursuant to applicable data protection legislation.

Jøtul AS utilises Amazons solutions for leads and guarantees.

Jøtul AS utilises SQLI technical support in France for leads and guarantees.

4. Who we share your information with

Personal Data collected by us are shared with Jøtul dealers for Leads.

5. Information security

When you provide us with personal data on jotul.uk, they are stored in our server environments operated by Amazon.

SQLI has entered into a data processor-agreement with Jøtul AS that states data security, operating practices, access levels, backup, storage time and deletion of personal data.

6. Your rights

When providing us with your Personal Data, you may request access to your Personal Data, as well as information on how we process your Personal Data. You may also request rectification, erasure and restriction of the processing, as well as to have your Personal Data exported in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format (data portability).

If our processing of Personal Data is based on your consent, you may withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawal of consent will not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.

You may file a complaint to your applicable data protection authority if you are of the opinion that Jøtul AS has failed to comply with your rights as a data subject.
